Programmable oscillators are widely used in different application fields. ECS-P83-AN is one of the most advanced programmable oscillators available today. It is designed to provide a very stable, low jitter oscillator device for many applications.
ECS-P83-AN is based on unique on-chip Analog Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) technology. It supports up to seven programmable output frequencies with <1 ppm accuracy. With an integrated crystal oscillator, it is able to operate over a wide frequency range from10 kHz to over 1 GHz. In addition, it features an extremely wide input tuning range, allowing flexibility in setting the exact frequency of the output. This flexibility makes the ECS-P83-AN an ideal choice for critical timing applications that require the highest degrees of stability with minimal jitter.
The ECS-P83-AN is available in two main packages – a 6-pin SMA (Small Outline Module) and an 8-Pin Small Outline Package. The 6-pin SMA version is designed to offer a very small foot print, while the 8-pin version offers more flexibility in its programming capabilities. The device is powered by either an external voltage source or through an integrated internal regulator. The integrated internal regulator is capable of providing either an active-low or an active-high power output.
The ECS-P83-AN can be programmed in a variety of ways. It can be programmed via a serial port, parallel port, or I2C interface.
