Working Principle of ECW-F6153RJL
ECW-F6153RJL is made of metallized polypropylene film dielectric, with electrodes of tin-plated copper wires sealed in a plastic housing. When voltage is applied, electrostatic fields store energy in the capacitor. The capacitor then rapidly releases its stored energy. This repeated charging and discharging process creates an electrical current. The current quickly flows in and out of the capacitor, which blocks direct current while allowing alternating current to pass through, thus allowing AC signals to pass through.
ECW-F6153RJL capacitors are also self-healing because the dielectrics of the film capacitors expel the micro-arcs that occur during surge conditions. The self-healing character is a result of the positive temperature coefficient. The positive temperature coefficient gains the electrons which and provides enough energy for breaking down the breakdown site (micro-arc) and repairs the dielectrics.
