They are also referred to as metallized film capacitors, as the conductive plates are usually metallized, forming a structure resembling a sandwich. A wide variety of films are used as the dielectric, depending on the application and the desired properties. Polypropylene and polyester films, that is, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) are the most common films used.

ECW-F6754JL is a type of film capacitor which uses a high-dielectric Polypropylene film as the dielectric insert. It is most commonly used in pulse and filter circuits and is also an antenna coupling capacitor.The capacitor’s overall size is 19.8 mm x 7.5 mm x 5.7 mm and it can handle a maximum working voltage of 40V AC.
