Film capacitors are widely used in different application fields for its advantages in electrical and mechanical performances compared to other capacitor technologies, such as electrolytic and ceramic. As a major category of film capacitors, AC motor capacitor, also known as Motor Run Capacitor or Motor Starting Capacitor, is mainly used as motor starting device in the circuit and can significantly improve the power factor of the current waveform, stabilize the motor voltage and extend the service life of motor. When motor is starting up, current flows through the capacitor and charges itself.
