Working principle: The ECW-H10303RHV is made up of three layers: the aluminum foil as an electrode on the top and bottom, and a polyester film as the dielectric in between. These three layers are encapsulated into a crimpable body. When voltage is applied, an electric field is generated in the polyester film. This electric field induces an opposite charge on the opposite electrode. As a result, electrons move through the polyester film, generating current. This aligns the positive and negative charges of the electrodes and leads to electric polarization in the film. The capacitance value of the ECW-H10303RHV is determined by the thickness and size of the aluminum foil and the dielectric constant of the polyester film. It will decrease when too much current passes through the film.
