ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor, manufactured by Nippon Chemi-Con Corporation, is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor constructed using checkered stainless steel as its cylinder case and radiating the heat generated during use. The working principle of ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor is based on the principle of electrical capacitance. When an electric field is applied across electrodes, positive and negative electric charges are separated. The resulting electrical capacitance is proportional to the area of the plates, as well as the distance between the plates, and the permittivity of the dielectric material between the plates. ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor consists of a dielectric film laminated between two metal electrodes separated by a small space. The metal electrodes are connected to the external connector of the capacitor. When a voltage is applied across the device the dielectric material between the electrodes will become polarized and store an electrical charge.
