ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor, manufactured by Nippon Chemi-Con Corporation, is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor constructed using checkered stainless steel as its cylinder case and radiating the heat generated during use. It is mainly used in power supply equipment, security systems, industrial equipment, measuring instruments, and other products. ECW-H12562HVB film capacitors offer features which include high ripple current, excellent performance at high temperatures, high thermal stability, corrosion resistance, large capacity, and low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance). It has a lead-free termination with standard lead-free solderability, and its maximum allowable temperature is 105°C (221°F). The working principle of ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor is based on the principle of electrical capacitance. When an electric field is applied across electrodes, positive and negative electric charges are separated. The resulting electrical capacitance is proportional to the area of the plates, as well as the distance between the plates, and the permittivity of the dielectric material between the plates. ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor consists of a dielectric film laminated between two metal electrodes separated by a small space. The metal electrodes are connected to the external connector of the capacitor. When a voltage is applied across the device the dielectric material between the electrodes will become polarized and store an electrical charge. This electrical charge is proportional to the applied voltage and capacitance. The ECW-H12562HVB film capacitor has a wide range of applications due to its high ripple current, thermal stability, corrosion resistance, large capacity, and low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance).
