The ECX-L32CM-212.500 oscillator combines a precision quartz crystal with a temperature-compensated oscillator (TCXO), creating a circuit which has an extremely precise frequency over a wide range of temperatures. The combination also makes the oscillator robust against the changes in frequency resulting from vibration, shock, and other environmental factors. A typical ECX-L32CM-212.500 oscillator functions by converting an input signal from a circuit or power source, such as a voltage regulator, into an output signal at a precise frequency. This output signal is sent to a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator, or VCO, which provides the output signal at that frequency. The VCO then converts the signal back to its original form and sends it back to the source.
