The EE-SPY414 is an optical sensor that uses reflective logic output as the sensor element. The sensor works by detecting an object when it reflects a light beam emitted from a built-in LED. When reflectivity from the object is greater than a certain threshold set in the EE-SPY414’s internal comparator circuit, the sensor’s logic output line sends out a signal indicating the presence of an object.
The EE-SPY414 is used to detect objects or objects located within a certain distance and is capable of detecting a range of distances from 0.2mm to 150mm. This makes it suitable for various applications, such as conveyor applications, positional detection, presence/absence detection and small gap measurement.
