Working Principle
The EG-2102CA 311.0400M-DGRNB oscillator is an OCXO-type oscillator based on TCXO technology. The oscillator principle is based on a thermal compensated oscillator circuit combined with a quartz temperature-stabilized resonator.The oscillator consists of a quartz crystal resonator, a transistor-diode oscillator, a temperature sensor and a thermal controller. The temperature sensor reads the environmental temperature and provides feedback to the oscillator, which adjusts the current passing through the transistor-diode circuit to stabilize the crystal oscillator frequency within certain tolerance. The thermal controller maintains the temperature and, thus the frequency stability, by providing a current for the heater circuit.The temperature sensor is a thermistor or thermocouple, which monitors the ambient temperature. The heater circuit, consisting of the thermal controller, heats the cabinet of the oscillator to the desired temperature.
