The EK-P5 evaluation board is a high-performance, multi-core processor board that is designed for a wide range of industrial, automotive, medical, and consumer products development and testing applications. It is based on the NXP i.MX6ULM application processor, the latest in the company’s range of high-performance application processor chips. The EK-P5 evaluation board provides a comprehensive suite of system features such as: advanced integrated high performance interfaces including RGMII, LVDS, eMMC, LCD, CAN, PCIe, USB, and UART; high performance FPGA connectivity for prototyping, design and debug; real-time power management; comprehensive board-level protection and security; and, a high performance dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.The EK-P5 evaluation board features a wide range of sensors that measure different physical quantities, such as light, humidity, temperature, pressure, sound, and vibration. These sensors are connected to the processor board through an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) and a programmable logic device (PLD). The ADC is used to convert the analog signal from the sensor into digital data. The PLD is used to process the data and extract information about the input signals.The EK-P5 evaluation board also features a wide range of debugging features such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and pattern matching instruments. These instruments help to visually debug complex digital designs and provide insight into system behavior.The EK-P5 evaluation board working principle is based on the NXP i.MX6ULM application processor and operates on a Linux operating system. The processor board is designed to operate in a wide range of temperature environments and provide robust graphics and multimedia performance.
