EL1517IL-T7 is an instant transmitter chip used in the field of level-shifter or bus-isolation/conversion. It can be applied in the electrical measurement system, data communication and process control. This chip is often used to convert the system interface between different power supply are and to isolate the DRVIC (Driver, Receiver and Transceiver IC) portions of the circuit. This chip integrates in one package a power-driver circuit and a wide-range, bidirectional level translator circuit with a normalized supply voltage. The power-driver circuit provides sufficient driving capability with 5A peak, while the level translator allows data to move between isolation circuits and different supply voltage levels, including 5V system interface and 3.3V system interface.The working principle of EL1517IL-T7 is based on a level-shifting transmit technique. The driving signal from the input pin is stored in the internal latch for each data bit. When the strobe pulse arrives, the clock will react and the data stored in the latch will be transmitted to the output pins. The difference between the high and low voltage levels is the differential of the two power sources supplied by the device. As EL1517IL-T7 is a positive-edge triggered multi-level translator driver, the clock is responsible for the internal transfer of data from the input pins to the output pins. The delay between the input and output pins is determined by the capacitance of the device. The level of the output will remain the same until a subsequent clock pulse arrives.
