Working Principle
The ELF-16M150A is designed to reduce EMI/RFI from power line components and/or signal lines. Common mode chokes work by creating an electromagnetic shield around a system. They are specially designed inductors that create an inductance when placed in a circuit. This inductance blocks high frequency signals, such as EMI, from entering or leaving the system.The ELF-16M150A is designed to reduce common mode interference. It has three separate terminals for connection - the inner pins for the DC side of the choke, the outer pin for the filter connections, and the ground pin. When using the ELF-16M150A, the signal wire first passes through the internal DC side and then proceeds to the outer filter connections. This creates a choke that suppresses the common mode noise and EMI from entering the system or leaving the system. As a result, the signal remains clear and unmolested.
