Common Mode ChokesCommon mode chokes, also known as common mode inductors, are used in electronic systems to maintain power requirements, reduce noise, minimize power losses, improve circuit performance and reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).ELF-17N008A is a common mode choke that has the ability to suppress common mode noise frequency up to 100MHz.ELF-17N008A is a unidirectional common mode choke that is designed to be a transmission line-level filter and is suitable for RF sensitivity applications and can handle high power levels. It is equipped with two cores that are connected in series with a common line between them. One of the cores, called the high-side core, has a dielectric layer, while the second core, called the low-side core, has a second dielectric layer.The high-side core is designed to suppress common-mode noise that is near the supply voltage, while the low-side core is designed to suppress common-mode noise that is near the ground voltage. The components of ELF-17N008A are capable of suppressing common-mode interference in the range of 30kHz to 100MHz. ELF-17N008A\'s working principle is based on the fact that common-mode signals contain both an AC and a DC component. The DC component is blocked from passing through the choke as it is stopped by the capacitors that are placed at the ends of the choke. The AC component is blocked from passing through the choke by the inductors that are placed within it.
