AC DC converters are devices used to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). Distribution systems are mainly powered by AC power sources, such as power grids, but DC loads are increasingly common in industry and home use. The ENP-240-24 is a cost-efficient AC to DC converter with a wide application field and working principle.
The ENP-240-24 is capable of providing an output voltage of 24 Volts DC, at up to 10A (240 Watts). It works with input voltages ranging from 110VAC to 230VAC, for global working. It features an isolated output, allowing the user to adjust the output voltage within the nominal range ±10%. The high efficiency of this device makes it perfect for home use, industrial, office or laboratory applications.
The working principle of ENP-240-24 AC to DC converter is called step-down conversion. Basically, when the input voltage of the device is greater than the output voltage, a transformer is used to step down the voltage from the input to the output voltage. An input capacitor is also added to the device, in order to limit the input current and provide the transformer with a better regulation. After the transforming, the AC voltage is directed to a full-wave bridge rectifier which converts the AC voltage into DC voltage.
The output voltage of the bridge is not yet regulated, so an integrated LC filter is used to reduce the ripple of the output voltage. After the voltage is regulated, it passes through the output transistor. This forms a closed loop control system, so the output voltage can remain stable. The output voltage can be further adjusted by varying the pulse-width modulation (PWM) of the switching transistor.
The ENP-240-24 is a high quality and reliable AC to DC converter. Its wide input voltage range and adjustable output voltage make it suitable for a variety of applications. The high efficiency of the device makes it perfect for home use, industrial, office or laboratory applications. Its cost-efficiency further makes it a great choice for those who need a reliable and economic power source.
