EPM7160SQC100-10 is an enhanced easy Programmable Medium-Density Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD). This device uses high-performance logic, low-cost ISP architecture, and is designed for high-density, low-power, low-cost and mid-range applications. Application Field

EPM7160SQC100-10 is suitable for a wide range of embedded applications. This device is well suited for applications such as data acquisition, machine control, industrial automation, telecommunications and networking, as well as automotive. Its features include up to 1600 programmable logic elements (LEs) in two banks, up to 100 user-defined macrocells, and up to 1024 microprogram steps. This device also features five 3-state bidirectional data I/O banks (4 pins per bank, 32 pins total), and up to 16 dedicated clock pins, making it perfect for embedded applications.

The device’s power consumption is extremely low, with typical standby current consumption at just 2 μA and typical active current consumption at just 29 mA. This makes EPM7160SQC100-10 ideal for embedded applications that require reliable and low-power performance.

Working Principle

The EPM7160SQC100-10 is an enhanced CPLD device, meaning it makes use of programmable logic to provide customer the flexibility of the device. It is made up of three basic building blocks - programmable logic blocks (PLB), macrocells and I/O blocks. The PLB contains the logic resources while macrocells contain sequential logic and enable the selection of user-defined registers.
