The ERC-031-01-01 is a two-piece card edge connector that is commonly used for applications such as electrical automotive, industrial and commercial. The two-piece card edge connector accepts two or three different types of inserts or electrical contact designs which offer connection capacities ranging from 16 to 25 rows and complies with the DIN 41612 Standard. With its cost-effective design, this card edge connector is suitable for low-speed data transfer, signal transmission or power input applications.

In order to ensure secure connection the card edge connector features an integrated latching mechanism as well as a bayonet fastening system. Through use of C-clamps, screws or bolts the card edge connections can be firmly secured against the card edge frame. This guarantees a reliable electrical interface that is durable but still able to provide easy access and quick rework.

In addition, the card edge connector has a rather low profile which allows direct mechanical connection to the printed circuit board with the help of flat-head screws. The combination of both the latching and mechanical connection provides increased stability of the electrical interface and a more secure connection. This card edge connector therefore provides a reliable electrical interface that is durable but still ensures easy access and reworking.

The working principle of the ERC-031-01-01 card edge connector is rather simple. In essence, it comprise a two-piece connector with a male socket and a female socket.
