It is equipped with a high frequency Low-Ohmic Circuit and is mainly used for protection of ports and other electronic equipment from unpredictable over-voltage due to board EMI or other harsh environment, making it widely applicable in fields such as automotive electronics, electronic equipment, ports, 3C products, etc.
The ERZ-E08A221 bidirectional overvoltage protector features fast response, low impedance, and a wide capacity range. Its protection voltage and tolerance can be adjusted by changing the resistance of the external resistor, while its dual design ensures effective protection for data signals of either polarity. Furthermore, it also features a high frequency low impedance that is capable of suppressing interference between high-frequency circuits and low-frequency circuits. In addition, its operating temperature range is -40 to 85 °C, making it suitable for various operating conditions.
The working principle of the ERZ-E08A221 bidirectional overvoltage protector is as follows.When the applied voltage is lower than the reference voltage, it is always in a state of "closed loop" and no current flows in the protection circuit. When the applied voltage is greater than the reference voltage, the bidirectional overvoltage protector starts to work and a small amount of leakage current flows. After the current is turned on, the MOS tube is reversely biased and begins to operate, establishing a protecting state. The voltage across the load decreases, thus achieving the purpose of overvoltage protection.
