Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) devices are used to protect sensitive electronic circuits from transient overvoltages and surges. ERZ-E08A391 is a varistor series developed by Wenzhou Erzhi Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. It is an AC/DC high voltage metal oxide varistor (MOV). It is designed to protect the low-resistance end from interference and direct current leakage of the system. It can be used in various electrical products, such as power supply, computer, communication equipment and digital products.The working principle of ERZ-E08A391 is based on the theory of nonlinearity resistance and current limiting of zinc oxide. The metal oxide varistor consists of ZnO and other metal oxides such as Bi2O3, Sm2O3, MnO2, Co3O4. When the varistor is at a low voltage state, the internal resistance is very high, like the infinite resistance of an open circuit. When the voltage rises, the number of charge carriers increases, and the internal resistance decreases. The change in resistance is nonlinear, and when the voltage reaches the rated breakdown voltage, the varistor enters a low resistance state. When the voltage is increased further, the varistor releases a large amount of current to safely discharge the surge.ERZ-E08A391 has the following features:1. It has a wide operating temperature range of -40℃~+125℃ and is suitable for various harsh environments.2. Its maximum peak pulse current is 5700A, which can protect the circuit from overvoltage and overcurrent.3. Its low clamping voltage provides the best protection for the circuit.4.
