ERZ-E08F471 is a general-purpose over-current protective device based on multilayer ceramic varistor technology. It is used in many applications, such as ac power and equipment protection, ac transformer protection, power line protection, equipment power supply protection, etc. It is widely used as a protective device in power electronic circuits, such as printed circuit boards, switching power supplies, transformers and so on.Ceramic Varistor technology is based on the principle of a metal oxide varistor (MOV). This principle states that when an excessive voltage or power is applied to an MOV, the MOV will conduct the electricity away from the point of origin, thus reducing the damage that can occur. A ceramic varistor is similar, but is composed of a ceramic material rather than metal. When excessive voltage or power is applied, the ceramic will break down and provide a very low resistance path for current to flow, thus providing protection.The ERZ-E08F471 is a three-layer varistor with a higher breakdown voltage and lower leakage current than many similar products. It has an effective operating voltage range from 3V to 300V and a rated operating current of 350mA. It is highly reliable and has a lifespan of more than 10,000 hours. Its thick-film electrodes provide more reliable performance and low wear and tear, while its electrodes are made of an integrated dielectric material for superior energy absorption and robust insulation.The ERZ-E08F471 is designed to protect circuits from overvoltage and overcurrent conditions.
