It belongs to the family of transient voltage surge suppressors (TVS) and offers a wide range of features to protect sensitive circuits and components from over-voltage conditions. These powerful components are also known as varistors, metal oxide varistors (MOVs) and surge protectors. The ERZ-E14A431 is designed to provide over-voltage protection against transients such as lightning, electro-magnetic interference (EMI), motor switching, and static charge. It is available in a plastic 4-pin insulated case with pins connected directly to the solid metal oxide material inside.
