Rectangular Connectors - Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets are the key components that are used for connecting two circuit board assemblies. With the ESD-116-TT-08 application field, this type of connector is used to enable data or power flows between various electronic devices, or to ensure robust connections between these devices. The main working principle of ESD-116-TT-08 application field and working principle is based on the electrical condensation effect.

When the pins of two conductor-to-conductor adapters are plugged into each other, they form an electrical contact surface area that creates a bridge between them. The bridge creates a temporary electrical connection between the two adapter pins. When a voltage is applied to one pole of the adapter, the adapter’s resistance will decrease, allowing electrons to flow from one pin to the other. This phenomenon is known as conduction. The conduction creates a current flow, which results in the flow of electrons to the other pin.

The current flow then creates a repelling force between the two pins, causing the adapter to “snap” or “click” off the conducting surface area. The click creates a stable electrical connection between the two adapter pins. The reaction that occurs when the adapter snaps off the connecting surface is referred to as a transient voltage dip. This voltage dip is caused by the resistance between the two pins. This creates a transient voltage that provides additional protection against potentially damaging conditions such as electrical noise or excessive current.

As mentioned before, the conduction process and the clicks provide robust connections between the two adapter pins. This feature makes it easier to make connections between the pins even if there are temporary power fluctuations, such as high current spikes typically encountered during sudden changes in temperature or when power adapters are interrupted. This feature also provides protection from electrical noise.

Moreover, the ESD-116-TT-08 application also supports 4- and 6-pin configurations. Four-pin configurations are used for connecting adapters with two ground pins, while six-pin configurations are used for connecting adapters with one ground pin and three active pins. This feature makes it easier to connect multiple adapters with different configuration capabilities. The pins used in the configuration can be placed either near the front panel (front-panel mount) or the back panel (rear-panel mount).

Additionally, this connector is both shielded and non-shielded. Shielded connectors are generally used in high-amperage circuits, while non-shielded connectors are suitable for most applications. Shielded connectors are more robust and ensure integrity and reliability, but are slightly more costly. This connector meets the requirements for voltage and current, making it suitable for a variety of applications, from power supplies and servers to consumer electronics.

ESD-116-TT-08 application field and working principle are generally used in consumer electronics, telecommunications, industrial electronics, computer peripherals, and automotive applications. They provide reliable connections to a variety of electronic products and circuits, enabling high-speed data or power flows. Furthermore, they can protect the circuits from electrical noise or damage caused by high current spikes.
