Power Line Filter Modules
ESP-03-221 is a power line filter module which is designed to filter out electrical noise from an AC power line. It is a cost-effective solution for filtering out spikes, transients, and radio frequency interference (RFI) from an AC power line.
Application fields
ESP-03-221 power line filters are designed to be used in industrial, commercial and residential applications. The filters are used to prevent the entry of transient voltage, noise and RFI signals from the power line that could be harmful to properly operating electrical and electronic equipment. The filters can also protect against damage caused by power surges.
The filters can be used for a wide variety of applications such as:
- Network equipment
- Medical equipment
- Audio/video equipment
- Telecommunications equipment
- Office equipment
The filters are also suitable for use in homes, providing an effective way to reduce noise on the power line and protect household electrical equipment.
Working Principle
The ESP-03-221 power line filter works by filtering out high-frequency noise, transients, and radio frequency interference (RFI) from an AC power line. The filter is designed with an inductor and capacitor in series, which together form a low-pass filter circuit. The inductor and capacitor are designed and rated to have a certain impedance on the AC power line. The impedance of the filter will depend on the combination of the inductor and capacitor, as well as the frequency of the power line.
When the power line is subject to high-frequency noise or RFI, the impedance of the filter will act as a barrier and block the noise and RFI from passing through to the equipment. The filter is designed to ensure that a certain minimum frequency is always allowed to pass through while blocking any frequencies above that level.
