ESQ-102-23-T-T rectangular connectors represent one of the most common types of electronic connections used around the world, typically being used in the majority of electronic applications. ESQ-102-23-T-T connectors have typically two components; namely, the header (male connector) and the Receptacle (female connector).

Application Field: ESQ-102-23-T-T connectors are used in a variety of industries; blanched being the medical, transportation, HVAC and industrial arenas. Working Principle: Both the header and Receptacle connectors share the same design principles that provide a reliable connection. The Header is usually a small, plastic male connector that has two or more pins to connect wires. The pins are usually gold or nickel plated depending on the application to provide superior electrical connection and to ensure that a reliable ground connection is established. The Receptacle is the female counterpart of the Header, it is usually made from high quality, engineering grade plastic that contains corresponding holes for the pins and provides a secure locking mechanism once the two components are connected. The plastic used is also rated to withstand high temperatures and environmental extremes that may be encountered in certain applications.

The pins of the Header are inserted into the cavities of the Receptacle, creating a strong mechanical coupling between the two components, thus ensuring that the electricity flow is not inhibited or interrupted. Furthermore, the pins must have a secure electrical connection, which is established once the pins are inserted into the Receptacle and the tab at the end of the connector is affixed. The tab, provides additional wire strain relief by folding it back and away, preventing any further strain that may damage the connector or the wires.
