These versatile connectors, which have a rugged yet lightweight construction, are ideal for board-to-board, board-to-cable and cable-to-cable connections, where signal integrity, durability and vibration resistance are of paramount importance. The ESQ-109-12-S-S connectors are especially suitable for large and/or heavy pin or cable requirements.

Working Principle

ESQ-109-12-S-S rectangular connectors utilize a five-point contact mating system that provides both increased contact retention and superior electrical performance. The rugged and reliable construction allow these connectors to withstand greater environmental conditions than standard connectors. The threaded coupling mechanism ensures vibration resistance and superior EMI/RFI shielding as well as robustness even in the most extreme conditions.The ESQ-109-12-S-S headers, receptacles and female sockets consist of two components: a header and a receptacle. The header mates with the receptacle using five pairs of spring-loaded contacts, each designed with a ball bearing for secure connection. The housing has four threaded mounting holes to secure it to the circuit board, board edge or board-to-cable connection.The contacts of the ESQ-109-12-S-S connectors are securely housed in a high-temperature and corrosion-resistant insulating housing. The terminals are constructed from Gold plated copper alloy material, with a minimum tin-plating in order to reduce electrical contact resistance, and provide a durable electrical connection in harsh and vibrating environments.The ESQ-109-12-S-S connectors are also designed with an IP67 water and dust tight rating. This helps to provide superior protection against the elements and improves the reliability of the connection. In addition, these rectangular connectors feature a wide temperature range of -40°C to +105°C which makes them suitable for a variety of applications.
