Rectangular Connectors made up of Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets are used to make interconnections between two different electronic devices or circuits. Among rectangular connectors, ESQ-136-44-T-S is a RoHS-compliant connector with 40 positions, wide selection of terminations, and solder cup option. It is commonly used in data processing applications. It is available with either two or three levels, which allows dense packing of contact within 0.2” X 0.156” area or 0.156” X 0.294” area.
The body of the connector is made up of either phenolic (PC/PBT) or thermoplastic elastomer material and the contact is made from either brass/phosphor bronze alloy material. It features north-south (N-S), and east-west (E-W) mating alignment with vibration resistance and shock protection. This 40-position connector operates at temperatures ranging from -65° to 125°C. Both the contact and housing are UL 94V-0 rated.
The functionality of ESQ-136-44-T-S mainly depends on its contact design. The contact features a tail with 90 degree bend making the overall contact length 0.734” within 0.2” X 0.156” mounting area. The mating interface of the contact has 2 protection strips for vibration resistance. The 4-finger spring design of the contact provides reliable connection between two mating parts.
