The ESQT-140-02-G-Q-625 rectangular connectors are a type of headers, receptacles and female sockets, which are widely used in many electrical and electronic systems. They are mainly used to ensure electrical connection between two connectors or components, which are usually mounted on the circuit board.

Working Principles of ESQT-140-02-G-Q-625 Rectangular Connectors- Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets

Essentially, these rectangular connectors consist of a fixed female socket and a plug-in male header, with each of their contacts firmly engaged into the other. The socket is typically fitted into the circuit board, and the male header is inserted into the socket so that the contacts made between them when the header is fully inserted will complete a continuous electrical circuit.

The high-speed, small-signal contacts of these rectangular connectors are mainly made of Copper-Beryllium alloy and with stainless steel or brass alloy, which provide excellent electrical properties. This ensures reliable connection of signals and low contact resistance. In addition, this material ensures a long service life of the connector.

The plug section of the header consists of two parts: the contact portion and the insulation portion. The contact portion is made of a gold-plated Silver-Phosphorus (AgP) alloy that has good electrical and thermal conductivity, making it suitable for high-speed signal-transmission connectors. The insulation portion is made of insulating materials such as PPS, PTFE, PA66, and PBT which can prevent the contacts from short-circuiting.

The contacts are made of gold-plated Silver-Phosphorus alloy to ensure better electrical performance. The housing is typically made of High-Performance PBT, PA/66 or PEEK which provides superior protection against shock and vibration.

The contacts are usually machined into a “spring” shape for a secure connection. Furthermore, the housing is also designed with an anti-lock mechanism to enable a simple and safe plugging and unplugging process.
