ESRD181M0EB Application Field and Working Principle of Aluminum - Polymer Capacitors

Aluminum-Polymer Capacitors, also known as Al-Polymer Capacitors, are advanced, high-capacity, low-cost capacitors intended for various applications in the electronics industry. They offer excellent electrical parameters and operation over wide temperature ranges, while being constructed of highly conductive and mechanically stable materials.ESRD181M0EB is a radial aluminum-polymer capacitor with a capacitance of 10uF, a voltage rating of 1...2V and a dielectric impedance of 0.001Ohm. It is a compact high-performance capacitor and is ideal for applications with higher sound quality requirements, such as in signal-processing audio systems. In addition, its ultra-low ESR (equivalent series resistance) and low dielectric absorption make it suitable for high-resolution signal processing, switching power supplies, SMPS, inverters and other applications.The ESRD181M0EB uses a three-layer structure of electrodes to provide a high capacity and low profile, making it ideal for devices with a small space required for installation. The two aluminum-foil electrodes are separated by a polyethylene-naphthalate (PEN) film dielectric layer to increase the capacity of the capacitor. The surface of the electrolyte is treated to increase insulation and ensure safe operation even under greater than rated voltages. The aluminum-polymer capacitor is coated in an insulating acrylic-based resin that provides a safe, durable, and rigid housing.When an electrical impulse is applied, electrons flow through the aluminum-polymer capacitor, charging the electrodes and creating a charged field between them. This field increases in strength with the application of a higher electrical potential and keeps the current flowing in a single direction, resulting in a capacitive load on the circuit. The capacitance of the capacitor is determined by the electrostatic force of the electrons through the insulated films, which creates an electric field between the electrodes. The higher the voltage applied, the higher the capacitance of the capacitor.
