Working Principle of ESS-130-TT-23

The ESS-130-TT-23 is a specific type of female socket that is designed for making connections with IEC 60320 C14 male plug. This type of socket has one large sliding contact which moves between two contact pins. The two pins are separated by a large insulating sleeve. The contact pins are then connected to the PCB via a quick connect wire.

When the contact is in its ready-to-connect position, the contact pin is extended and the center point of the pin has continuity. As the contact slides in, it is pushed down until it makes contact with the other contact pin, establishing the connection. When the contact is pushed out, it disconnects the connection and returns to its original position.

The operation of the socket makes the connection and disconnection process to be extremely simple and fast. Additionally, the C-Frame adapters make it easy to insert and remove the socket from the card. These features make the ESS-130-TT-23 the ideal solution for a range of standard and high power applications.
