The EV-AD7768-1FMCZ evaluation board is an analog to digital converter (ADC) based on the AD7768 Delta Sigma converter, which has been designed by Analog Devices, for data acquisition systems. The board provides an excellent platform for evaluating the performance of the AD7768 Delta Sigma converter, and enabling users to quickly add the data acquisition system to their existing designs. The board includes all of the required circuitry and components, and offers a simple way to quickly add an industrial-grade ADC to any system addressable over I2C.
The EV-AD7768-1FMCZ evaluation board is ideal for industrial temperature sensing, consumer applications, infrared imaging, and medical imaging. The board is capable of accurately measuring temperatures from -20°C to 85°C in a single precision 16-bit resolution with an acquired sample rate up to 40MHz which can match the demands of a range of industrial applications. Additionally, the AD7768 converter operates with a very low power consumption which allows the device to be used in battery-operated and remote sensing applications.
The EV-AD7768-1FMCZ evaluation board comes with Analog Device\'s AD7768-1FMCZ delta sigma converter. This converter is used to convert an analog input to a digital output using delta sigma analog to digital conversion. The delta sigma technique computes differences between samples of the input signal and then quantizes the error signal. This allows for higher precision and lower noise floor than equivalent techniques such as sigma-delta. Additionally, the AD7768-1FMCZ converter has a parametric measure module which includes an offset cancellation circuitry to improve the total accuracy of the converter.
