EV-ADF5355SD1Z Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits enable design engineers to quickly evaluate and demonstrate the performance of the ADF5355 phase-locked loop (PLL) chip. The evaluation board includes two direct digital synthesis (DDS) channels, a clocking PLL, and a reference input channel. The integrated chip provides dual-channel DDS output, clocking PLL output, and reference input and output operations.The EV-ADF5355SD1Z’s design facilitates an efficient and reliable solution for the design verification tasks of engineers, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. This evaluation and demonstration board and kit are ideal for use in 5G cellular base station up/down converters; digital video broadcasting; high-speed signal acquisition/transmission systems; frequency-agile radio receivers and transmitters; and direct-conversion signal sources. The wide input and output frequency range is applicable in many wireless communications systems.The evaluation board was designed to include the ADF5355 clock generator and PLL as its main component. The ADF5355 clock generator and PLL device is made of a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) with a wide frequency-hopping range, PLL circuitry for synchronization, and a reference input that can be configured for input from a differential clock or a single-ended clock. The integrated PLL and DCO help generate clock signals with a wide frequency range, which can be used to provide high-speed signal acquisition and transmission. The device can be configured to perform frequency-hopping operations that allow the design engineer to quickly evaluate and adjust the operation of the board.The integrated design of the EV-ADF5355SD1Z Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits enables engineers to evaluate the performance of the ADF5355 in various system applications. Moreover, the evaluation board is compatible with Windows-based system software that allows the system\'s parameter settings to be easily adjusted. The design supports up to 16kHz frequency resolution for the DDS output and 256MHz reference clock input.The ADF5355 integrated circuit is designed to provide clocking PLLs, DDS outputs, and reference clock inputs (or singleended clocks). The clocking PLL design provides additional frequency resolution of 0.256MHz while the DDS outputs and reference input can be configured for operation up to 256MHz. Furthermore, the design includes a low-noise clock buffer to ensure signal integrity and minimize any jitter generated in the system. The digital signal processing features of the board include a four-stage CPU, multi-rate digital filters, automatic gain control, and down/up conversion. A 3U Eurocard form factor is provided for integration into system cabinets.The EV-ADF5355SD1Z Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits enable the design engineer to rapidly evaluate the performance of the ADF5355 integrated circuit. This device offers a wide frequency-hopping range, making it suitable for operation in various applications up to 5G wireless communications systems. With the integrated signal processing features, the evaluation board allows the design engineer to configure the board for different modes of operation in order to quickly evaluate the performance in various system applications.
