The EV-VNH7070BAS Evaluation and Demonstration boards and kits are designed specifically to provide a comprehensive introduction to the STMicroelectronics VNH7070ABAS dual H-bridge integrated circuit. The board is an easy way to familiarize with the integrated circuit, evaluate its features and test its performance. The EV-VNH7070BAS consists of 4 main components – the VNH7070ABAS itself, the STM32F030K6 microcontroller, the 8-channel N-Channel MOSFET driver, and the STM32L4A6 microcontroller. The VNH7070ABAS is an integrated circuit featuring two self-oscillating H-bridge motor drivers. It offers a wide operational voltage range, up to 65V for a continuous output current of 4A. The integrated protection features and the high starting torque of the device make it ideal for automotive application development.

The STM32F030K6 microcontroller is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 processor with a maximum frequency of 48MHz. It is equipped with a 2KB RAM, a 16KB Flash memory, a 12-bit AD Converter, a 7-channel DMA controller, an I2C and SPI interface, and an 8-channel 10-bit PWMs. The microcontroller also provides versatile and reliable interface for further communication. The 8 different channels of the N-channel MOSFETS allow the user to select the output current for each individual motor, to control each motor separately in the same H-bridge or to drive both motors together for a full Bridges configuration.

The STM32L4A6 microcontroller offers a convenient development platform to easily develop sophisticated applications. The microcontroller offers a wide range of integrated peripherals, such as a 12-bit ADC with over-sampling, a 1-wire master, an I2C interface, a 2KB RAM, a 6KB Flash memory, and an integrated CAN bus controller. The integrated CAN bus interface allows for the development of automotive applications.

The EV-VNH7070BAS evaluation board makes it easy for developers to test the features of the STMicroelectronics VNH7070ABAS. The board includes multiple connectors and headers that allow users to easily connect the EV-VNH7070BAS to other peripheral devices. On-board LEDs provide the user with visual feedback when switching from different modes, such as the Direction Control or the Step Control while testing.
