EVB-ER2120QI is a power supply evaluation board designed by EE-Design. It is a DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS that is optimized for high-efficiency designs. The board is designed to provide a ready-to-use, easy-to-program, and configurable power system solution. It is a great, inexpensive way to evaluate power systems and start developing a power supply design.

The EVB-ER2120QI is also designed with scalability in mind. The board will accommodate varying DC input voltages from 8V to 40V DC. The board also allows for both current limit and output current monitor that can be used for precision applications. The board was also designed with safety in mind with the circuit having over voltage, over current, and short circuit protection to ensure that the board\'s components remain safe. Lastly, the board also features 2 channels of RF-based PWM control.

The EVB-ER2120QI is designed with an adjustable switching frequency between 25KHz and 250KHz.This allows for an efficient power system setup to suit a variety of applications. The board can also accommodate a wide variety of AC inputs with an adjustable AC voltage input range from 80VAC to 480VAC and frequency from 45Hz to 400Hz.All of these features can be configured using the board\'s onboard SPI, I2C, or USB interface. The USB interface also allows for the use of a GUI to program and configure the board.

The core of the EVB-ER2120QI board is a highly integrated device called the ER2120QI. This is a single-chip, high-performance off-line SMPS with several integrated features. It features a synchronous rectification controller, isolating MOSFET, fast protection and control logic, and DC/DC converter. The ER2120QI IC has an integrated 900V power MOSFET. This MOSFET is able to drive up to 40A of output current and dissipate up to 1000W. This MOSFET is optimized for high efficiency and low EMI. The ER2120QI also has built-in protections for over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection.

The EVB-ER2120QI evaluation board can be used in a myriad of power supply designs, ranging from AC/DC to DC/DC switch-mode power supplies. It is an ideal platform for evaluating high-efficiency designs for low-power applications.
