EVB_RT7302GS is a two-stage evaluation board (EVB) based on the white LED driver RT7302GS. EVB_RT7302GS covers a wide range of applications, especially in the field of backlighting and general lighting. This board helps users to evaluate the performance of the RT7302GS and allows users to combine advanced features and high performance in their own designs.Working Principle of EVB_RT7302GSEVB_RT7302GS is a two-stage evaluation board based on the white LED driver RT7302GS. The EVB has two parts, the first part is the RT7302GS IC, and the second part is a complex of auxiliary components. The RT7302GS is charging a capacitor during low load current operation, when the voltage on the capacitor reaches the peak value, the LED begins to be driven, and the LED works in constant current mode when the load is at a high level.The EVB_RT7302GS implements the following functional blocks:• The power input circuit, which includes a MOSFET, diode, overvoltage protection circuit (OVP) and ESD protection circuit.• The power factor correction (PFC) pre-stage, which includes the NCP1200 PFC controller and active clamp reset circuit.• The LED driver circuit, which includes an analogue dimmer, RT7302GS IC and a compensation network.• The PWM control IC, which controls the NCP1200 and RT7302GS.• The PCB layout/circuit board, which is optimized for better thermal performance.Features of EVB_RT7302GS• Supports a wide range of applications, from backlighting up to general lighting• High efficiency, high power factor and low EMI• Maximum load current up to 900mA• High dimming accuracy and low power consumption• Good thermal performance• Can work with a wide input voltage range (110V – 240V)ConclusionEVB_RT7302GS is a two-stage evaluation board based on the white LED driver RT7302GS.
