EVB_RT8296AHZSP is an evaluation board embedded with a DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS switch with embedded RT8296AHZSP, a high power MOSFET based buck/boost IC. The SMPS circuit can be used for different application fields, providing a convenient solution to engineers and design teams in testing and evaluating DC/DC & AC/DC switching power supplies.
The working principle of EVB_RT8296AHZSP mainly involves the difference between the voltage output and the voltage input. First, DC/AC voltage input will be pumped into and converted to an adjustable set of DC/AC voltage output. This voltage output can be adjusted internally or through external control signals by using the regulator loop’s duty cycle which is mainly triggered by the high-frequency oscillator’s period. When it\'s enabled, the RT8296AH will internally switch current over a series of power MOSFET and thus, providing the expected designed output voltage.
The embedded DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS switch based RT8296AHZSP can be applied to different applications such as industrial production, landline communication, LED, white goods and so forth. This evaluation board offers comprehensive and flexible design capability, featuring much lower costs compared to most other evaluation boards in the market.
