Working Principle

The EVJ-Y10F03D24 consists of three terminals; two of which are set to the same voltage, while the third is variable depending on the rotational angle of the shaft. The rotary action of the shaft causes the resistance of the two resistors included in the module to rotate with it, thereby changing the voltage applied to the third terminal. The change in resistance and voltage is proportional to the amount of rotation of the shaft.

The EVJ-Y10F03D24 has a linear operation so the current generated is inversely proportional to the resistance, meaning that the more rotation of the shaft, the lower the resistance and current generated. In addition, as the voltage applied to the third terminal is variable, the resistance of the two resistors and current generated through the module are inversely proportional to the applied voltage.
