Working Principle of EVQ-V6F02009B Encoder
The EVQ-V6F02009B encoder is a magnetic based rotary encoder which consists of an external rotor and internal components. The rotor has a toothed structure and is coupled to the shaft of the motor. The internal components include an optical sensor, a Hall effect IC, a resistor and a capacitor. The optical sensor converts the light of the LEDs into electrical signal which is further amplified in the Hall effect IC. The output is a square wave signal with a frequency proportional to shaft rotation. The resistor and capacitor are used to adjust the gain and threshold of the digital output waveform.
The output signal of the EVQ-V6F02009B encoder is a quadrature waveform which has two square wave channels : Phase A and Phase B. These two signals provides are shifted by 90 degrees in phase. This is known as quadrature output and can be used to detect the direction of motion as well as speed of rotation.
