Working Principle
The FA-365 20.0000MB-K quartz crystal is an oscillating element consisting of an enclosed quartz crystal wafer enclosed in a sealed package. The quartz crystal wafer is driven by an external electrical source and vibrates at a set frequency depending on the crystals size and shape.
When a voltage is applied to the quartz crystal equivalent to the oscillation frequency of the specific crystal, the crystal will start vibrating. The vibration rate of the quartz crystal is then utilized to maintain precision timing in the electrical system. The crystal operates at a constant frequency over a wide range of temperatures, thus providing accuracy and reliability in all types of circumstances.
