Working Principle

The assembly is composed of two copper conductors, one within the other, separated by an insulating material. The inner conductor is encased in a dielectric sheath and the concept is based upon the parallel-conductor structure of electrical transmission lines. The copper wires around the assembly and the dielectric create an induction field that transmits signals electromagnetically. The dielectric sheath acts as a shield to reduce electrical interference from outside signals. The sheath also reduces signal losses. As the assembly consists of two copper conductors, the signal is transmitted in two directions simultaneously.
