FHP-05-01-H-S is a subminiature, high-performance connector series. It is part of IDC-type connectors being part of rectangular connectors. This type of connector is often used in high-speed, high-frequency applications and can support up to 5 GB/s speed, making it an ideal solution for many data interfaces. FHP-05-01-H-S consists of a male and female header and receptacle, which are designed to mate with each other using IDC (insulated displacement connection) technology. The IDC connection uses a pair of round pins on each contact point to ensure the electrical signal is transmitted with minimum loss. The header has 5 positions (P pitches) with a contact spacing of 0.025” (0.635mm). The female socket has a mating depth of 7.7mm and a clear open distance between the mating pads of 0.15”

The IDC pins on both sides of the connection ensure a low-voltage drop and minimum signal loss. The structure of the socket allows the pins to make direct contact with the mating header, ensuring tight contact fit, compliancy and dampening of shock and vibration.
