The FLSR.300T is one of the most reliable specialty fuse applications today. It is a versatile and effective device used to protect both small and large circuits from damage caused by short-circuits, overloads, and other electrical mishaps. The FLSR.300T is a UL 248-14 listed, dual element, time-delay fuse designed specifically to protect motors against short-circuit, overload, and overcurrent conditions. This fuse can be used in both 277 and 480VAC three-phase systems. With its compact design, this fuse can be used both indoor and outdoor, in wet and dry locations, and is suitable for both surface and wall mounting.

Application Field

The FLSR.300T is designed for application in industrial machinery, motors, pumps, and other equipment that are subject to frequent cycling, such as compressors. It can also be used in applications that require precise time-delay fusing, such as fire panels, and protect motors against overloads and short-circuits.

The FLSR.300T can also be used in HVAC equipment, such as fan coil units, rooftop air conditioners, air handlers, and other commercial/industrial applications. Additionally, it is suitable for lightning current and surge protection on transformers, AC and DC circuits, computer systems, and other electronic-based control systems.

Working Principle

The FLSR.300T operates by melting its element to disconnect the circuit when the current rating is exceeded for a predetermined amount of time. This dual-element fuse combines the features of current-limiting fuses, with the added benefit of overcurrent protection. This means that the FLSR.300T is capable of withstanding higher values of current for a short time period without melting its element.

The FLSR.300T has a quick-make, slow-break characteristics which allows for reliable protection. Unlike a standard current-limiting fuse, the FLSR.300T has two elements - one fast-acting element that cuts the current immediately, and another slower-reacting element that delays the current for a period of milliseconds. This allows for better protection against short-circuits and surges.

The FLSR.300T is also designed to protect against reverse polarity and open circuits, making it a reliable choice for a variety of application fields. The fuse has an UL Recognition of 100 kA RMS and meets UL, UL/CSA, and UL/VDE safety standards.
