The individual conductors have an 0.040” diameter which results in improved signal integrity and allows for superior flexibility in routing the signal path. The flat flexible construction also provides a measure of strain relief which allows for loading and unloading without significant or permanent changes to the cable geometry.

FSP-23A-15 is available in various lengths, with conductor lengths of 4.00” and 2.50”. The conductor is manufactured from tinned copper wire and is covered with a nickel plated outer shield for additional shielding. This cable is also available with a variety of connectors including pin, screw, and blade contacts. All connectors are spaced out at 0.100”-0.110” centerlines. Connectors are available in red, black, and other colors so they can be easily identified.

The working principle of FSP-23A-15 is straightforward; the conductors are placed between two contact plates in an array. When a current is applied to one of the conductors, it forms an electrostatic field between the two contact plates, creating an attraction between them. This attraction increases as the conductor moves further away from the contact plates. This attraction is further enhanced by the addition of a voltage source between the two contact plates, which creates a stronger field. This increases the force of attraction and increases the speed at which the conductors can move.

The FSP-23A-15 also offers a number of mounting options. The cable can be mounted directly to a PCB, panel, or chassis to provide a more secure connection. Alternatively, the cable can be mounted using pins or screws. The FSP-23A-15 also has a number of optional heat-shrinkable tubing options which further improves signal integrity and protection against electrical shorts.
