The GCD.00.020.LN is a type of RF coaxial connector, typically used in high frequency signal applications (>1GHz). Working Principle:

The GCD.00.020.LN coaxial connector consists of two parts — a center pin conductor and an outer contact conductor. The outer contact has three concentric rings that provide a 360 degree current path through the pin and the housing. The inner contact is made from high quality copper and all contact surfaces are gold plated for electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The center conductor is attached to a crimp barrel and the housing is threaded onto the center conductor — this ensures that the two are locked in position. The housing also includes a seal to provide a waterproof connection.

When using this connector, the cable needs to be prepared properly — any exposed conductor requires extra caution and must be covered with an insulating material. To make the connection, the cable is connected to the center pin and then threaded onto the outer contact.
