HDSP-A107 is a commercialized seven-segment LED display module for numerical information display, which is produced and developed by HP. HDSP-A107 is a seven-segment display module that is composed of six active elements. These elements function together to complete the display. The HDSP-A107 is a dot-matrix display, each of the active elements is arranged in a 1:7 multiplexed manner, forming an 8x8 dots matrix. Most of these active elements, such as LEDs, incorporate an internal lamp and an external light emitting diode. Together, these components emit light. The power supply of the HDSP-A107 display module is regulated AC and DC power, which is necessary for normal operation of the active elements and their circuits. When power is supplied, the LED will be turned on, and the numeric content is provided by external signals. The drive current controls the "on" state of the LED and the duty cycle determines the balance of the duty cycle of all LEDs. The brightness of the HDSP-A107 display module is determined by the uniformity of the active element’s light-emitting characteristics and the drive current.The active elements will not be in a state of dissipating heat, and the heat generated by the active elements will be on the heat sink. Therefore, appropriate cooling measures should be taken when using the HDSP-A107 display module.
