Working Principle of the HEDS-5120#H14

HEDS-5120#H14 housing contains two rows of dual Hall-effect outputs, which are magnetically activated to provide a combined 52 pulses per drive wheel revolution. At their core, these devices employ a set of two Hall-effect elements to sense the position of the magnetic poles of a permanent magnet integrated into the drive wheel. When the magnet is detected by the Hall element, the output of the element is switched from low to high providing a logic level pulse. When the magnet is clear, the output drops back to a low logic level.
