This voltage change (in the form of a pulse) is sent to external electronics as a signal. The external electronics interpret the pulse stream as rate, direction and position of the shaft.The HEDS-6540#J13 encoder is a versatile and reliable option for applications requiring continuous or limited rotational movement. It has a maximum rotational speed of 10,000rpm with an accuracy of +/-5 counts/rev, and an operating temperature range of -40 deg C to 85 deg C.
