Fixed Inductors

Inductors are passive electrical components which are used in electrical circuits to store energy as magnetic field. They are usually designed in the form of coils or flat looped wires. Fixed Inductors are basically inductors without any kind of variable adjustment available for tuning. The resistance difference between a Fixed Inductor and a variable one is that the inductance of the fixed inductor is limited by the materials used for its design and cannot be adjusted. Furthermore, the inductance value of a fixed inductor does not depend on temperature changes and remains constant.

HK2125R47J-TV Application Field and Working Principles

HK2125R47J-TV is a fixed inductor with an inductance of 465 uH. It is mainly used as a noise filter in electrical and electronic devices such as amplifiers, mixers, audio systems and control systems to suppress noise created by high frequency voltage spikes. The HK2125R47J-TV has a self-temperature rating of 125 °C, which makes it ideal for use in high power applications. It also features a high current capability of up to 5.3 Amp and can handle power levels up to 0.14 Watt.

The working principle of HK2125R47J-TV involves an electro-magnetic field caused by the flow of current through the inductor coil. The current generates a magnetic field whose strength is proportional to the current passing through it. This magnetic field interacts with the core material, forming a self-induced magnetic field. When the current flow is reversed, the magnetic field is also reversed, causing an opposite voltage to be induced in the inductor coil. The induced voltage opposes the change in current, thereby suppressing high frequency noise.

The HK2125R47J-TV inductor is designed to have good thermal dissipation as well as low noise operation. To maximize its efficiency, it should be installed in a thermally well-ventilated environment and away from elements of heat such as power transistors, capacitors and power supplies. Moreover, it should be placed as close as possible to the component it is intended to protect from noise due to the relatively small size of the device.
