HLG-320H-15A Working Principle

The HLG-320H-15A LED Driver is a self-contained, constant current light fixture driver. It is designed to supply regulated current to a DC load, typically LED light fixtures. It operates by controlling a transistor switch that is controlled in between its on and off states depending on the current levels of the LEDs.

The HLG-320H-15A LED Driver constantly monitors the current delivered to the LEDs and when this falls below the pre-set level, a reference voltage is added to the base of the transistor switch to turn it on and increase current, thus maintaining the constant output current levels. This is done within a few microseconds to ensure that the LEDs maintain a consistent output level, eliminating flickering and uneven light intensity. This is a closed loop control, referred to as a “constant current” mode of operation.
