The HMC1043-DEMO evaluation board and its sensors have been developed to help simplify the tasks of prototyping and testing systems requiring low-level magnetic sensing, such as position and field strength sensing. The board uses Texas Instruments TMS320F2808 microcontroller, DSP hardware, and a high resolution, low noise HMC1043 Hall Effect sensor. The board measures low level magnetic fields that span from direct current (DC) to frequencies up to 5MHz, accurately detecting the direction and strength of magnetic fields. The HMC1043-DEMO evaluation board and the HMC1043 Hall Effect sensor have become increasingly popular due to their combination of high resolution, low power and low noise capabilities, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, such as industrial process automation, security systems, and positioning and sensing systems. Furthermore, the board’s design is designed to be compatible with different communication protocols and different types of microcontrollers. This means that the board can be used with various high level programming environments for prototyping, evaluation, and early stage development projects.The advanced capabilities and design of the HMC1043-DEMO evaluation board and its sensors provide users with a range of useful functionality. This includes a high resolution range of up to 15.8mV/G or 0.39% accuracy over the full range of magnetic field measurement. It also features a wide dynamic range between -100 to 200mV/G. Additional features include integrated voltage regulation, a low noise linear 3V output, and a fast current response with a maximum speed of 1000 kHz. The HMC1043-DEMO evaluation board is designed to operate in a wide range of environmental conditions. It has a high temperature operating range of -40 to 70°C and a high temperature storage range of -60 to 80°C, meaning it is suitable for use in a variety of demanding environments. The board is powered by a 3.3V DC source, with a typical operating current of 6mA. This provides a low power, low-level sensing capability, which is ideal for applications that require use of a low-level magnetic field sensing device, such as in industrial process automation, field strength measurement, and miniaturized positioning systems.The HMC1043-DEMO evaluation board and its related sensors also offer a number of other features and benefits.
