The HMC363S8G is an RF microphone receiver (RFM) from Analog Devices. The wideband limiter is used for peak signal control, clipping and elimination of any unwanted noise caused by changes in the signal strength or frequency. The AGC circuit continually adjusts the gain of the receiver to maintain a constant output level from the receiver and reject any out of band interference, such as background noise. The clock recovery module recovers the clock signal from the incoming signal and then demodulates the audio data to a low frequency signal. This low frequency signal is then processed by the 22 kHz LPF and baseband amplifier, which amplifies the signal enough to be further processed by an audio processor or A/D converter.The HMC363S8G was designed to provide the highest levels of performance and to minimize the risk of interference by using several key features. Some of these features include an extremely low noise floor, a high IP3 (3rd order intercept point), high SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) and low distortion. It also has frequency hopping capabilities and is able to work with compatible RF transmitters, allowing it to automatically sync to different transmitter channels.
