Working Principle

IEGBX6-34691-1-V circuit breakers use an arc extinguishing device to disconnect the circuit when it trips. This device consists of a spring-loaded moving contact called thesprading contact. When the overload trips, this contact is actuated mechanically, thus moving towards the stationary contact and extinguishing the arc. When the overload occurs, the overload trip coil is rated to open the circuit. This action causes the spradling contact to be released suddenly and close the freshly created arc gap.

In addition, it have features like easy operation, high breaking capacity, high short circuit ability and fast response time. The protection type is adjustable, with phase-III over-current protection. The short-circuit protection is dynamic as well, with response time occurs as fast as 30ms.
